The University of Delhi affiliated, St. Stephen’s College will start their admission process for all undergraduate courses on August 5. The last day for St. Stephen’s applications will be August 31. DU will also begin its UG merit-based admissions from August 2.
Being a Christian Minority college, St. Stephen’s college has a separate application form and criteria for admission in the college for all the offered courses. The college has reserved about 50 per cent of the seats for Christian candidates. Despite being a DU college, Stephen’s has its own procedure and cut-offs for admission.
The admission is based on three criteria: 85 per cent weightage is given for class 12 marks and 15 per cent weightage is given for both written tests and interviews. In view of Pandemic last year the written exam was not conducted and the 15 per cent weightage was only given to the interview done by the college.
The admission process details will be available on August 5 on St. Stephen’s official site: https://www.ststephens.edu/. The decision on whether the written exam will be conducted this year or not is still awaited. But it is certain that the interview will be conducted this year too. After the candidate is selected for St. Stephen’s College, they are usually supposed to keep their call letters ready along with Class 12 mark sheets and birth certificates. Quota certificates are also required (if any) which is usually a baptism certificate in this case.
The varsity announced that the registration process for undergraduate courses will begin on August 2 and the last date for applying will be August 31.
