New Health Measures to be Taken; to Reopen the Schools

On June 8, the Central government conducted an educational meeting over schools with the states. The states have given suggestive measures on how to reopen the school. The MHRD will examine all the measures later to form the guidelines. 

Anita Kanwal is the secretary of school education and literacy department, HRD. She has taken the meeting with the schools to discuss the health and safety of students and issues regarding online/digital learning in states. 

“We have obtained valuable suggestions from state governments regarding issues relates to school education. Our priority has always been the safety and security of the students and the teachers”, says Ramesh Pokhriyal. 

The Minister has tweeted that the suggestion received by different states will be submitted to @MoHFW_INDIA and Ministry of Home Affairs for appropriate actions regarding framing guidelines for the education sector during COVID-19 times. 

Safety is very important for children if the schools are to reopen in amid of this deadly disease. The growth of pandemic is getting to a higher and higher number of rates. Day by day, the education system is facing a setback because of it. 

To avoid students’ contact with others and maintain norms of social distancing the schools and universities are shut down from March 22, 2020.
