M.Phil and PhD Admissions Scheduled Next Week

M.Phil and PhD Admissions: Admissions in M.Phil and Ph.d courses in DU will start from next week. Recently, it was made mandatory to score atleast 50% in the entrance exam of these courses which was followed by protests. Due to this, most of the seats went vacant as very few students were able to fulfill this criteria. Consequently, interviews were also postponed as no OBC, SC, ST belonging to some departments qualified the criterion.

Pami Dua in the notice said, “A relaxation of 5% marks (from 50% to 45%) shall be allowed for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC and differently abled categories in the entrance exam” But in case te students don’t fulfill the criteria, a relaxation of 5 percent would be provided, and if still the seats remain vacant then, these departments will explore suitable policies to fill the vacant seats.
