Mission-E-Shaheed
Dil se niklegi na mar kar bhi watan ki ulfat, meri mitti se bhi khushbu- e -watan aaegi..”-these were the last humming tunes from the lips of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev.
The life and work of Bhagat Singh and his death by hanging at the age of 23 at the hands of British imperialism on March 23, 1931, has been a perennial saga of inspiration to all those who cherish sovereignty, secularism and socialism – ideals for which Bhagat Singh and his comrades fought valiantly to the end.
And in an endeavor to ccommemorate the legendary freedom fighter by what befits it most-“SHAHEED”,the students of Shaheed Bhagat Singh College have launched a movement named “Mission-E-Shaheed” which demands the status of “Shaheed” for freedom fighter Bhagat Singh and jawans of Para-military forces. MISSION-E SHAHEED is an initiative for supreme honour.
The mission is led by MR. RAJNITI SAGAR who is the vice-president of poliitcal science department , Shaheed Bhagat Singh College. He recently met his team member, Bhagat Singh’s grand son (nephew) Yadvinder Singh Sandhu, who is also the founder of Shaheed Bhagt Singh Brigade. He also gave his support for this mission.
From 20th July , mission will go all around the University of Delhi and other colleges and schools of Delhi for making the people aware about how our government is irresponsible regarding these great freedom fighters, who gave up their everything for the nation.
The motive of this article is to showcase how a bunch of few students, if divert their attention in the right direction, can open people’ eyes to what needs to be seen. We hope that this endeavour turns into a success.
