DU provides some part-time foreign language courses,  these courses have huge in demand by today’s youngsters but is it worth it to do? Let’s discuss

In this article, I’m gonna tell you, how beneficial or not these courses are.

Most of the students pursue foreign language courses along with their graduation.

Classes and timing for these courses are suitable enough for such students

PROS

In this era of globalization, possessing a degree in any foreign language consider as a good career opportunity,

These foreign language courses work as a skill enhancement course, it helps to entice your CV more,

If you are pursuing such courses along with graduation, able to get 2 degrees,

Like if you have done your graduation in economics, and an advanced diploma in French,  you are ready to teach someone economics in the French language

After doing such courses, many career opportunities will arise.

SCOPE

  • Translator
  • Work in the tourism sector
  • Professor or assistance professor
  • Work in the trade organization
  • Work in embassies
  • Cabin crew
  • Work in MNCs

CONS

Those students who believe,  along with graduation you can also complete this 3 years, of course, divided into 3 parts, certified, diploma and advance diploma, is completely wrong

Because we can’t consider these 3 courses( certified, diploma, and advanced diploma) as honors courses.

In honors courses, we study something in complete detail, which will not get in this part-time course

1 year is of each course in DU, which means certified course for 1 year, a  diploma is for 1 year and advance diploma is also for 1 year.

Classes for these courses occur, thrice a week or at weekends only, which means the total time spending is not enough for students.

But in private couching students done such courses in 6 months (for each).
