The QS World University Rankings 2018 was released on June 8, and India’s Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)-Bombay, IIT-Delhi and Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, featured in the list of top 200 global universities. For the first time Delhi University (DU) has entered the top 500 group and has been ranked among the top ten varsities in the country.
University of Delhi was ranked in the 481-491 band in the world rankings list, making it the 8th top university in the country after the top ranked IIT-Delhi.

Karnataka’s Manipal University was ranked highest among private universities in the country. For the first time, Manipal University figured in 701-750 band, placing it at 13th position in the country.
About the QS Ranking: Quacquarelli Symonds University World Rankings is an annual publication of university ranking by a British company Quacquarelli Symonds specialised in education and study abroad. The rankings are based on six performance indicators across four areas – research, teaching, employability and internationalisation.
