Delhi University on Saturday begins with online registration process for admissions in various UG, PG, M.Phil and Ph.D courses.
The application window for registration will be open for 2 weeks from today, closing on July 4. Unlike last year, this year all the admission process from registration to application form submission will be done online.
The University Dean (Admissions) Sobha Bagai on Saturday in an online press conference informed that this time the process will be “contact-less,” keeping in mind the precautionary measures due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
“We had a link with CBSE portal to verify marksheets online. This time, we have written to all educational boards across the country to give share the link of the portal where their results will be announced so that colleges can verify the marksheets easily,” she said.
To make the process smooth and easier, the University shares a bulletin of information to address all the issues and queries.
“We have dedicated helpline desks at the university and college level where students can post in their queries. We will also be conducting webinars guiding students through the process,” Bagai said.
The admission committee is yet to release the tentative schedule for cutoffs.
Bagai explained that earlier CBSE had announced that the remaining class 12 Board exams will be conducted from July 1 to July 15. Since Supreme Court intervened and asked CBSE to take an alternative method hence there is a possibility that results might be declared sooner. The tentative schedule for further steps of admission process will be released by second or third week of July when things get clearer.
UG admissions through entrance tests, Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET) 2020 will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA).

“There is a common Web Portal dedicated to the registration of applicants and a common application form for admission to all the postgraduate courses in the university,” DU’s bulletin says.
