Indraprastha College for Women, also known as IP college is one of the major constituent colleges of Delhi University. It is a College that can give you what you desire and uplifts you to endless sky of opportunities.
An oldest Institute of education, established as a part of nation-wide campaign of women’s
education and empowerment in 1924, today Delhi University Indraprastha College for Women
is ranked among the top 10 Arts colleges of Delhi.
With sophisticatedly clean gardens, old tall green palm trees covered under the shadows of
nature, Delhi University’s IP College is blessed with beauty. With so many trees around, not
a single shredded leaf was to be seen anywhere. Even with so much of heat the campus
maintains its charm of lush green lawns, especially the front lawn of the college which is as
green as anything can be!
If you look at the entire campus of Indraprastha College for Women, it is definite that you would sense a
subtle, proud feeling. The college is as serene as watching an old English lavish palace with
impeccable architecture and foliage all around, almost similar to that of a classic British
movie. Not just this, IP College, Delhi University has the best flora and fauna resources in its
campus. The college, besides students and faculty, is home to many migratory birds too. The
only reason for the birds to find a home in this campus is due to its magical verdure. During
the monsoons, the campus transforms into a fantasy land. This heritage site is drenched in
water (sometimes literally) while the peacocks dance around the college unabashedly!
INFRASTRUCTURE
The college offers well developed and well developing facilities including a gym and cyber café.
Sports establishments are thoroughly evolved in the college. It has its own basketball court,
tennis courts, squash court, a humongous sports field and facilities for aerobics, Judo, archery,
volleyball, chess,badminton.
You can go swimming to any place but in a college. You would not find any college providing
the facility of a Swimming Pool to its students. But you do get this fantastic opportunity at IP
College. This college is the first and only College that has a swimming pool for its students.
In its drive to constantly upgrade infrastructure and meet the demands of a modern system of
education to realize its own vision, the college has regularly added new facilities to provide a
comfortable working environment to its faculty and students. Full power back-up is provided
to ensure that all activities are carried out without interruption. In an ongoing endeavour to
create a disabled-friendly environment, the college has barrier – free access to existing spaces,

most pleasant and integral part of the college with an aim to ensure all round development
of every individual graduating from the college. Each student has to compulsorily join at least

posters, slogans or any other message they like. Come on, how many colleges you think have
that! Within the limitations, anything can be slung upon this artistic wall.Isn’t it fun to just sit
and eat at this amusing and entertaining place, available only at Delhi University IP College?
