According to a top official, Delhi University is expected to disclose its first cut-off list for undergraduate programs by October 1. DU has previously stated that the first cut-off list would be released between September 8 and 10.
“By that time, the results of the CBSE compartment examination, optional examinations, and improvement will almost certainly have been announced, and the NEET, JEE exams will have also been completed,” the official said.
“We intend to begin on October 1st. Because the 2nd and 3rd of October being holidays, we will begin the admissions process on October 4th “Dean of Admissions, Professor Pinki Sharma, stated.
Meanwhile, according to official data, over 1.10 lakh applicants enrolled for undergraduate courses in the varsity’s admission site in just three days on August 5.
The portal went live on August 2, and registration for roughly 70,000 seats in undergraduate courses will close on August 31.
All UGC, COBSE, and education ministry authorized boards are recognized by DU.
Officials responded to a question about the recognition of various boards by saying that DU recognises all boards that are recognised by the University Grants Commission, Council of Boards of School Education in India (COBSE), and the Ministry of Education.
An official also informed the bulletin of information that the IB and University of Cambridge grade conversions have been completed. “An equivalence table will be posted on the Internet in due course.
The university’s Equivalence Committee will determine which subjects from other boards are equivalent to which subjects in CBSE, which would aid students in calculating their grades,” he added.
In the event that the boards do not offer marks in that ratio, an automatic calculator on the portal will calculate the marks for theory and practical in the ratio of 70:30, according to the senior faculty member.
“When it comes to courses like sketching, the ratio of theory to practical will be 30:70. As a result, it will be estimated ” added by him.
