About scholarships at DU.
There are many scholarships at DU, it provides relaxation to their students so that they get relax about their studies and future.
Although the study at Delhi University is quite expensive for students who live in PGs and hostels because room rents and other accommodation made it quite expensive to survive.
Most of the students feel that the fees structure of DU is affordable for middle-class families, it’s true to some extent but what about for the students who belong to the lower middle class?
Colleges like Kirorimal, Hansraj, etc. charge more fees than other colleges, students also believe that their fees structure is becoming high year after year.

Eligibility to take scholarships at DU.
First, you need to take admission in DU, during admission time you need to pay complete fees, There is the provision for fees concessions, the university provides some amount of fees back to the students after 6-7 months of admission. if students fulfill the eligibility criteria.
You must have the latest income certificate to get fee concessions and identity proof like an adhar card or pan card. Your annual income should not exceed 3 lakh.
If we talk about scholarship it varies from college to college and year to year as well.
Scholarships are mostly available based on reservation and for physically handicapped students. There is a very limited or less no. of scholarships on a merit basis.

There is a period of 1-2 months to fill the form for the scholarship, after the announcement of notice for scholarship on the DU portal. After the completion of the whole procedure, there will be an interview, in which the income of the family, student’s attendance, and other personal details will be asked.
Scholarships are also available for post-graduation students and diploma courses.
There are fewer chances for commerce students to get any scholarships because there was not a single scholarship available during the 2020- 2021 session announcement.

There are scholarships for a single girl child and for students whose parents work under DU authority.

- Post Matric Scholarship for OBC Students.
- Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for Students belonging to Scheduled
Caste studying in Classes IX & X. - Scheme of Pre-Matric Scholarship to the Other Backward Classes
for studies in India. - Prime minister’s special scholarship scheme for Jammu and Kashmir students, etc.
