The Loss Of Education Is Irreparable

Manish Sisodia, the Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi organized an interactive session with the parents and teachers of students from government schools of Delhi. Additionally, the same was for two of the government schools. This interaction was conducted at Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya Prashant Vihar and GBSSS/GGSSS Pitampura.

Further, he took feedback of the online education going on during this pandemic situation. Additionally, he considers the ongoing mode of education as “semi online”. Moreover, he said, ” Other losses due to lockdown will be compensated. But the loss of education is irreparable. Which is why classes with the support of  technology are the need of the hour.”

Adding to this, the Deputy Chief Minister said, ” Soon there will be a vaccine to cure corona. But there cannot be a vaccine for the loss of education.”

Besides, he also took opinion from the parents on the ongoing mode of education. Further, he also asked for suggestions to improve the level of education and the online education. Moreover, he suggested to organize parents teachers meeting online.

The teachers of the school SKV Prashant Vihar informed that almost 96% of the students are taking the online classes. Additionally, attempts are going on to connect them to the same.

The Delhi Government has come up with new education model for students. According to this model, ” worksheets are shared with the students till standard 10 on Whatsapp. Additionally, the school allows students to come to school to get weekly printouts if they or their parents do not own smartphones. However, online live classes are going on for students of standard 12. “

Moreover, Manish Sisodia also shared, ” There was a time when access to education was based on caste and later financial status.” Further he added, “We bridged that by rebuilding our government schools with world-class facilities.”
