The National Institutional Ranking Framework is an annual ranking which is released by the Ministry of Human Resource Development for education institutions in India.
It was launched in 2015 and the first ranks were released in 2016. The NIRF has ranked institutions on the bases of ten categories :
Architecture, law, overall , university, management ,dental , pharmacy , college , medical, engineering
IIT Madras IISc Bangalore bagged first two positions followed by IIT Delhi and other educational institutions. Miranda house has bagged the first rank among all the colleges of India followed by Lady Shri Ram and Hindu college.
Miranda house in Delhi University has bagged the first rank for the fourth consecutive year in the NIRF rankings. Miranda scored 77.23 out of 100 to emerge as the best college
St Stephens college is at 4th position this year, the college was ranked 2nd best in the year 2018 but it slipped to 4th position in 2019 and is still holding same rank.
