Delhi University’s Institute of Home Economics is all set to offer BA Journalism (Hons) course from the upcoming academic session. With this, the Institute of Home Economics becomes the only sixth college in the university to offer the course.
Already, five colleges in the university – Lady Sri Ram College for Women, Kalindi College, Kamla Nehru College, Delhi College of Arts and Commerce and Maharaja Agrasen College — offer the undergraduate course.
“We have already been teaching specialised courses in communication, radio, film production and print media and we have the equipment to support these fields. We decided to expand and offer BA Journalism around three years ago. We will start the course from this session,” said a source from DU.
